Over 4000 NZ Children to Participate in the Global Children's Challenge™!
In September this year, over 4,000 New Zealand children will be participating in the Global Children’s Challenge™!
The Global Children's Challenge™ is a health initiative designed by the Global Corporate Challenge® to get children from all over the world active, and instill in them the habit and importance of daily exercise for the rest of their lives.
With the fantastic number of New Zealand businesses participating in the Global Corporate Challenge® this year, 4,000 school children will be able to participate at no cost to the school, child, government or parents.
Based on the principles of the GCC and reaching out to children early in their development, the Children's Challenge will engage school children at a classroom level, measure step counts from a pedometer and interact with a web based ‘virtual’ walk around the globe.
Driven by teachers, the event will have more of a factual discovery focus, allowing kids to learn about other countries, towns, cities, and day-to-day lives of similar aged children in different cultures.
